Cambodia Fashion Week 2013
CAMBODIA FASHION WEEK (CFW) was held on the 5th to the 8th of December 2012 in City Hall Koh Pich – Phnom Penh Cambodia. CFW aim is to help develop the Cambodia Fashion Industry by cultivating design talent, stimulating local and international awareness of Cambodian creativity and showcasing local craftsmanship in the international arena
Apart from providing business opportunities and a platform for Cambodian labels and fashion industry stakeholders, CFW is also focused on positioning Cambodia as a fashion gateway for emerging designers from Indochina for international buyers and media and in the process promote closer collaboration to foster the exchange of ideas

With these ‘fashion mobs’, they pressure H&M, Inditex (Zara), Levi’s and Gap to introduce a living wage in Cambodia

In 2011 alone over 2400 workers fainted in Cambodian factories due to poor diet and overwork, and were taken to hospital in 25 separate incidences. Unions say many more go unrecorded. Vietnam Fashion Week 2013
The annually Vietnam Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013 took place in the first 3 days in December 2012 with nearly 30 designers at Daewoo Hotel in Hanoi
On the first day four designers Hong Vuong, Van Hien, Bich Ha and Van Khoa of the Viet Thang Garment Company were introduced to the audience
Second nights designer collection was by Hai Long-The Huy, Thien Toan, Ngoc Han, Thuong Huyen, Duc Hai, Trọng Nguyen
The collections paraded on the event’s third night were the work of designers Cong Khanh, Chu La, Viet Ha, Ta Linh, and Minh Hanh
Miss Vietnam 2010 Dang Thi Ngoc Han also introduced her own rose-patterned collection at Vietnam Fashion Week
Le Tien Truong, Deputy General Director of Vinatex and Vice Chairman of Vinatas, said: “Fashion week is aimed at introducing customers to the new fashion trends in 2013, including designs using new materials, technology and colours.”
According to VITAS Vietnam Textile & Apparel Association, the event not only provided a good chance to introduce the new trend of the spring-summer fashion season, but also helped to create distinctive features for Vietnam’s fashion in the future
